Adding trailer wiring doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wires. This Curt T-Connector plugs right into the vehicle’s existing connectors to give you a working 4-flat trailer plug. The harness uses a powered converter that draws power directly from the vehicle’s battery instead of its lighting circuits. On trip to Florida lost functionality in the connection to trailer, bad relay box! My neighbor is the talented one and (we) installed the harness today. He watched the video twice and me once. It went exactly like the video and we have one suggestion-make the green wire that crosses over from driver side to right side about a foot longer. We tested and it works perfectly. This thing is built solid. Installation was pretty standard for these base plates, but I did appreciate the sturdiness of the bolts and hardware.

Very easy to install on my 2021 Jeep Wr angler
I installed the Curt hitch, wiring and universal 7 way kit into a 2018 Wrangler JL. I also purchased the road master brake switch and bracket to have a cold side brake wire for a time delay brake controller. The install came together and looks and works great. A time delay brake controller was used because the controller needs to mount side ways and down.

The wire harness was installed today by Happy Camper RV Services. The harness fit my 2019 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. A great addition to my Jeep and excellent work by Joel from Happy Camper RV services!
Much more difficult to install than I expected. I had to seek professional help to complete the installation. Cost me $300 for labor I had not expected. Installers on your site wouldn’t install my e-trailer parts. They claimed insurance would cover. Wanted me to return the parts and then them order from E-trailer and add 10% to the list parts price!
Installed very easy. Tow hitch took 30 minutes. Wiring took 30 minutes. Everything seems high Quality.
The set-up was fairly straight forward, the only thing I would say is that larger zip ties and better wire connectors are needed in the package.
To mount the hitch on the diesel you will have to loosen the bolts on the DEF tank and pull it down to install the bolts. You will also need to enlarge two bolt holes with a grinder in a very tight place. The parts are heavy duty and well made. The only thing that could be better would be adding heat shrink connectors to the kit in lieu of the common splices that were included. They even include zip-ties.
This kit provides what’s needed. A couple cautions. The wire between the two sides is not long enough to run through the frame channels or any other fully protected route. Installing on a used vehicle, especially a northeastern one that’s had a few years of winter/undercoating,road dirt is exponentially more difficult and adds a good hour to the job. I would also recommend not using the provided crimp connectors and using waterproof ones instead otherwise you’ll be redoing them in a year or two. That’s one easy upgrade to this kit that would at next to nothing to the cost.
